CV19 Policy Details

I do want to emphasize that this is the plan *as of right now*.  I am monitoring information from the CDC, ADH, and DHS almost daily and we will update our plans and procedures as needed when new guidelines or directives are given by any of these agencies.  Schools and child care facilities are facing a real challenge this year of striking a balance between measures that are believed or hoped to protect physical safety, while still maintaining an environment that protects emotional safety and well-being and promotes developmentally appropriate growth in social and emotional skills. It is our fervent goal for our facility to be safe, but also fun, inviting, and a place the kids want to be. There are no perfect answers, but we will do the best we can with the information we have!  Ok, let's get down to the nitty-gritty.

Daily procedures for screening, cleaning, and disinfecting

  • Zero tolerance sick policy

  • Disinfecting toys regularly

  • Disinfecting surfaces throughout the day

  • Handwashing throughout the day

  • All students and staff will wear facemasks when in common spaces of the church

  • Staff that are not fully vaccinated  will wear facemasks at all times during the school day when students are present as well as in all common spaces on the church

*When there is a positive case of CV19

  • People are considered contagious 48 hours before the onset of symptoms or positive test result

  • Anyone who develops symptoms should be tested

  • Anyone who has a positive result should follow the directions of ADH

  • DHS will advise on a case by case basis regarding class dismissals and school closures

*When a person has been exposed to a confirmed case of CV19

  • A person is considered exposed who has been in contact (within 6 feet for longer than 15 min) with the affected person during the time from 48 hours before symptoms or positive test up until they are released from quarantine

  • ADH will advise on a case by case basis regarding exposure at school

  • Exposed persons who are not vaccinated should quarantine for 10 days following exposure

  • Exposed persons who are not vaccinated and who show no symptoms may end quarantine if they test on or after the 5th day after the last known contact and once they have received a negative result

  • Exposed persons who are fully vaccinated do not have to quarantine

  • As a precautionary measure, exposed staff who are fully vaccinated will wear a mask at all times for 10 days after the last known contact
