About Us

Bella Vista Preschool is a non-profit non-denominational Christian preschool run by a Board of Directors from several local Churches. The preschool typically enrolls 20-27 students from Bella Vista and the surrounding communities each year.  BVPS was founded over 40 years ago to meet a growing need in Bella Vista.   Bella Vista's population has continued to diversify over the past several decades.  This change led to a need for a high-quality, local pre-kindergarten program.  This is exactly what Bella Vista PreSchool is!

Housed in the First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista, BVPS has two large classrooms with an attached bathroom.  A fenced playground and a covered picnic area as well as use of other rooms and facilities as needed gives Bella Vista PreSchool everything it needs.  The preschool is certified by the Arkansas State Licensing Agency.

Learning at BVPS is largely play-based.  Students participate each day in whole group activities like Circle time and Stories that allow them to practice skills such as listening and turn-taking, as well as provide exposure to pre-reading and pre-math skills..  Center time and Outdoor play provide many opportunities for preschoolers to practice their gross and fine motor skills as well as focus on developing social and emotional skills.

Family involvement is strongly encouraged!  An Info Night and Open House are held every year before the first day of school.  Parent-Teacher conferences are held with all families each spring.  In addition, parents are asked to help with transportation on field trips and are welcome to volunteer in their child's classroom.  An Art Show is held one evening in the spring and the end of the year is celebrated with an End of the Year Picnic in which the students prepare lunches for their families.

**BVPS adheres to a non-discriminatory policy in regards to race, gender, and creed for both students and teachers.
